Directions

60 min.
1. Step

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper. Remember that even non-stick trays can stick a bit with these bars, so the paper will help immensely.

2. Step

Mix your muesli, choc chips, and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl. I have found that using your hands to mix can make this process more comfortable.

3. Step

Warm your honey or maple syrup and peanut butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until well combined (usually it takes about 2 minutes). You want it to meld together but be careful not to burn it – burnt peanut butter is not a taste anyone enjoys.

4. Step

Take this mix and pour it over the muesli mixture, stirring thoroughly. Things may get a bit sticky, but keep stirring until well combined.

5. Step

Move your mixture to the prepared baking tray and press down firmly. Try to ensure your mix is evenly spread over the tray to get consistent bars.

6. Step

Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden. Be mindful of the edges – they can burn quick.

7. Step

Allow it to cool completely before slicing into bar shapes. Sometimes, it's tempting to cut it right away, but a cooled bar will cut much cleaner and hold together better.

8. Step

Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to a week.
