Delicious Rice Balls
Every time I visit my grandmother, she always makes me rice balls, so I decided to learn her recipe. I am sharing this recipe with you now, I hope you will love it as much as I do.
Ingredients
- 250 g rice
- 1 large egg
- 100 g Mozzarella cheese
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- salt
- pepper
- Oil for frying

Directions
Start by cooking the rice. Be careful not to overcook it, you want to achieve an easy-to-assemble consistency. Drain the rice and cool.
While the rice is cooling, grate the mozzarella cheese.
In a large bowl, mix the rice, grated cheese, egg, salt and pepper to taste.
With wet hands, take a small portion of the mixture and shape into balls. Make sure that they are not too big, as they will be difficult to fry on medium heat.
Dredge the balls in the breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the balls until golden brown on all sides. Be careful, they burn easily on too high a heat, so cook them over a medium heat.
Drain off excess oil on paper towels and serve.
